Unovative is built so you can finish a job and leave. Basic tools do not need an account, and files are not kept as a document archive.

Server-side processing

PDF, image, Word, and AI tools upload the file to this server. The file is scanned when the virus scanner is configured, processed for that job, and is not kept as an archive. Browser utilities, Quick note, background removal, and the QR code generator stay in your browser.

PDF and image tools

Compress, merge, split, convert, rotate, and the image tools run on this server. A job that finishes quickly returns the file immediately. A longer job can be downloaded for up to 15 minutes, then the file is deleted.

Word editor

Opening a Word file stores it for the editor and deletes it after 30 minutes without use. PDF export uses the same office engine.

AI tools

Chat, summarize, notes, and translate send the file to the document engine on this server. The original file is not kept and is not sent to the model. Extracted text is stored for 30 minutes without use, then deleted. That text is what the model sees. Do not use AI tools with secrets you cannot share with the model provider.

Errors and analytics

When a Sentry DSN is configured, error reports are sent to Sentry. Those reports do not include the uploaded file. When Plausible or Umami is configured, page views and tool events are sent without cookies. Neither script is loaded until that service is configured.

Deletion window

Job files and results are deleted within 15 minutes. Word editor files and extracted AI text are deleted after 30 minutes without use. Recently used tools are saved only in your browser's localStorage as slugs, not as files.
